In 1991, Ipek Furniture Corporation initiated its manufacturing activities in Kayseri Industry Zone. In 1995 Ipek has began to produce sofa beds in the address of 1st Organize Sanayi Bolgesi 43. Cadde No:35 where still continues its activity.

In 1981, Mr. Saffet Arslan, the founder and the chairman of Ipek, began to work in 15 square-meter workplace as a upholstery master in Kayseri. After few years he got a qualification to prepare complete sofas with its whole parts included raw materials and supply them to the showrooms. In those years, although automation system was applied in large scaled factories, Saffet Arslan leaded to initiate a serial and planned production that can be considered as a beginning of automation in Anatolia.

In 1989, Saffet Arslan opened his first showroom and began to sell his products all over Turkey with the delivery system that he own found. In early of 1991, he comprehended the importance of the specialization in furniture sector. He identified the products which can be produced serially and then he took partners whom have experience about manufacturing then Ipek was officially established.

Today, Ipek offers service with over 300 various types of products on a landscape of 115.000 m with a total covered area of 85.000 m. About its 1000 employees, Ipek has already formed its forward looking works of furniture sector.
